Biography

As Director of New Programs, Maureen Saraco is responsible for developing new programs for Rutgers Law School that expand curricular offerings and reach audiences beyond J.D. students. Prior to joining Rutgers Law in July 2024, Maureen served as Director of Summer and Pre-College Programs at Temple University, where she developed and managed non-credit and dual enrollment programs for high school students, focusing on extending the pathway into undergraduate education for a new population and generating revenue. During her tenure, high school student enrollment increased tenfold and academic offerings expanded to two continents. Maureen also developed and implemented the free Saturday College program for Philadelphia middle school students.  

In previous roles in executive education at Temple University’s Fox School of Business and at several non-profit organizations, Maureen’s entrepreneurial approach to developing new programs and recruiting adult and non-traditional students created sustainable new revenue streams for those organizations. 

Maureen received her Ed.D. in Higher Education from Temple University, an M.A. in English from Rutgers University – Camden, and a bachelor’s degree in English from Saint Joseph’s University. She regularly teaches writing and literature courses to undergraduate and graduate students at Temple University and Saint Joseph’s University as an adjunct instructor. Her doctoral dissertation focused on understanding the academic literacy experiences of working adults who are pursuing higher education.
