  • Jarryd Anderson '11, partner in the Banking and Finance Department of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, was named to the "40 Under 40" list by Bloomberg Law.

    Erica Askin '08 has joined the firm of Willig, Williams & Davidson in their labor law practice group.

    Hon. Wilson Loo '80 was honored by the Hawaii State Judiciary for 29 years' service. Judge Loo presided over 8,000 criminal and civil cases in the District & Family courts of the 1st Circuit. At the same time, he was also managing partner of a large law firm, where he specialized in foreign investment, mergers and acquisitions and major litigation matters. (In Hawaii, one can be a judge and practicing attorney.) Prior to that, he was the Organized Crime prosecutor for Honolulu and had served two U.S. District Court judges as law clerk. Judge Loo’s family in Hawaii dates back to 1872, and he is fluent in spoken Chinese. He has extensive ties to China, HK, Singapore, and Taiwan over the past 40 years.

    Isabel Chou '12, General Counsel at Purpose and Stan Tso '06, Adjunct Professor and Primary Patent Examiner at the U.S. Patent Office, were honored at the April MELA annual gathering of the Rutgers-Newark Asian-Pacific American Islander Law Students Association (APALSA).

    At this year's Rutgers Law Review annual alumni reception on April 27, Former dean Ron Chen '83 gave remarks on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Law Review.
